Shipping Policy

Last updated: 2025

BLDTRU is a marketplace for handmade and small-batch work crafted by independent makers. Because each maker ships their own products, shipping times, methods, and costs may vary by listing.

This Shipping Policy explains how shipping works across the platform and outlines expectations for both buyers and makers.

1. Processing Times

Each maker sets their own processing time based on product complexity, production methods, and demand. Processing time refers to the time needed to create, prepare, and package the order before shipment.

Processing times are shown on each product page. Custom, made-to-order, or high-detail pieces may require additional time.

2. Shipping Times

Shipping time refers to the period after the order has been handed to the carrier. Delivery timelines depend on the carrier, service level, and destination.

BLDTRU does not guarantee delivery dates unless explicitly stated by the maker on the product listing.

3. Tracking Information

Most makers provide tracking numbers once the item has shipped. Tracking availability may vary by item type and shipping method.

  • Tracking is typically provided for physical products.
  • Digital or downloadable products are delivered instantly upon purchase.
  • If a package is shipped without tracking, the maker must inform the buyer before shipment.

4. Unexpected Delays

Weather, supply shortages, carrier issues, or high-volume seasons may create delays. Makers must keep buyers updated, but BLDTRU is not responsible for delays caused by carriers or circumstances outside the maker’s control.

5. Incorrect or Undeliverable Addresses

Buyers are responsible for entering accurate shipping information at checkout. If a package is returned due to an incorrect address:

  • The buyer may be responsible for additional reshipment costs.
  • Refunds may not be issued for items lost due to incorrect or incomplete addresses.

6. Lost or Stolen Packages

Once a package is marked delivered by the carrier, responsibility for loss or theft may shift to the buyer unless BLDTRU determines otherwise. Buyers should:

  • Check with neighbors or building management.
  • Confirm the address used for the shipment.
  • Contact the carrier regarding delivery details.

If the issue cannot be resolved, buyers may file a dispute through BLDTRU for review.

7. International Shipping

Some makers may offer international shipping. Availability depends on the specific maker and product.

  • Customs duties, taxes, and import fees are the buyer’s responsibility.
  • BLDTRU is not responsible for customs delays or holds.

8. Packaging Standards

Makers must package items securely to prevent damage during transit. This includes appropriate padding, boxes, or materials suited to the product type. Poor packaging may result in maker liability for damages.

9. Multiple Items or Makers

Because each maker fulfills their own orders, items purchased from multiple makers will arrive in separate packages and may have different delivery times.
