Payments & Fees Policy
Last updated: 2025
This Payments & Fees Policy explains how transactions are processed on BLDTRU, including how makers get paid, what fees apply, and how our payment processor (Stripe) handles secure transfers. This policy applies to all buyers and makers using the platform.
1. Payment Processing
BLDTRU uses Stripe as its official payment processor. All transactions, including buyer payments, maker payouts, refunds, and dispute refunds, are handled through Stripe Connect in accordance with Stripe’s global compliance standards.
By purchasing or selling on BLDTRU, you agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service in addition to this policy.
2. Maker Payouts
Makers must connect a valid Stripe account to receive payouts. Once connected, Stripe routes payments directly to the maker after deducting platform fees and processing fees.
Payout timing is determined by Stripe and may vary based on country, banking institution, and account verification status.
- The maker must keep payout information accurate
- Payouts may be delayed if Stripe requires additional verification
- Payout failures caused by incorrect account info are the maker’s responsibility
Makers may disconnect Stripe at any time via the Stripe Connect Policy.
3. Platform Fees
BLDTRU charges a transparent marketplace fee that supports platform operations, customer support, dispute handling, and site infrastructure. Fees apply to makers only — buyers do not pay platform fees unless specified.
Our fees may include:
- Transaction Fee: A percentage fee taken from each completed sale.
- Payment Processing Fee: Standard Stripe processing rates.
- Buyer Protection Fee: Applied to eligible orders that include buyer protection services.
All active fees will always be displayed clearly during maker setup and within the dashboard.
4. Taxes
Makers are responsible for complying with all applicable tax laws, including sales tax, income tax, VAT, or other obligations.
BLDTRU may collect and remit tax where required by law. In such cases, tax amounts will be displayed to the buyer at checkout.
Makers must provide all required tax forms when requested (such as W-9 for U.S. makers).
5. Buyer Payments
Buyers must provide a valid payment method at checkout. All charges will appear as BLDTRU or STRIPE on their statement.
BLDTRU may temporarily authorize a hold on a payment method for verification or fraud-prevention purposes.
6. Refunds, Chargebacks & Adjustments
Refunds are issued according to the Refund Policy and may require maker approval depending on the situation.
In the event of a chargeback:
- Stripe will notify BLDTRU and withdraw the disputed funds
- Makers may be required to provide documentation or proof of delivery
- BLDTRU may issue refunds at its discretion to protect platform integrity
Excessive chargebacks may result in account restrictions, withheld payouts, or removal from the platform.
7. Fraud Prevention
BLDTRU and Stripe employ automated tools to detect fraud, unauthorized use, or suspicious orders. Orders may be automatically held, canceled, or reviewed.
Makers and buyers must cooperate with verification requests when required.
8. Payment Disputes
Payment-related disputes between buyers and makers are handled under the Dispute Resolution Policy.
BLDTRU reserves the right to issue refunds or hold funds if a maker violates platform rules, fails to fulfill orders, or engages in deceptive practices.
9. Policy Updates
This Payments & Fees Policy may be updated at any time. Continued use of BLDTRU after changes means you accept the updated terms.
